Back from Pembrokeshire

Phew, quite exhausted with over a weeks walking on the coasts and hills of Pembrokeshire. But I did manage to fit in a number of sites on the way.

Carreg Cennan Castle (on the western fringes of the Brecon Beacons) quite a dramatic location

Then on to Laugharne Castle (Dillon Thomas spent time here as well)

Carrew castle (Pembrokeshire council owned, so I didn't look inside as I had visited 20 years ago)

Pembroke Castle, (not CADW but well worth a visit) - William Marshall's tower

A model of the original

St David's Bishops Palace and the Cathedral

Cilgerran Castle, quite impressive for its location

A well deserved rest on an Iron Age Fort overlooking Stumble Head

That is some impressive scenery!

There is still some unspoiled parts of the UK after all!
