More War of Spanish Succession Cuirassiers
Completed all the units on the workbench, basically using up all the remaining Cuirassier figures in the stash.
A couple of generic German Cuirassiers as I could not find details of any specific units I wanted, I have given them a couple of Palatinate sandards to match the facings
Austrian Alt Hanover (front) and Cusani (rear) Cuirassiers
Danish 2nd Sjaellandske Cuirassiers (strictly they should not have backplates)

Mousquetieres Gris and Dutch Cuirassiers
After a busy Saturday fighting with my Bundeswehr against Warpac I have completed two of the latest sets from Strelets. The Mousquetieres Gris will provide the fourth unit of my Maison du Roi brigade.
At the moment the two unts of Dutch cuiraasiers ae very generic, grey coats with red or blue facing were very common and very few specific flags are available.
As for the other Strelets set, "German Cuirassiers skirmishing" I have not found a unit to tempt me yet

WSS Bavarian Cuirassiers
Another batch of cuirassiers for the War of Spanish Succession completed, Bavarians this time. The mix of figures are the same as the Austrians, using the figures from both Strelets cuirassier sets. I only extra is a commander, and I've also painted his Austrian counterpart (at the rear). With four units I could represent all of the Bavarian cuirassier regiments.
Regiment Arco at the front and Weikel behind
Regiment Costa at the front and Wolframsdorf behind
That completes my WSS project until Strelets manages to make any more new sets.

WSS Austrian Cuirassiers
No surprise for my first units of the year, I have created 4 units of Austrian Cuirassiers, all wearing the helmet more commonly worn when fighting the Ottomans. The figures themselves are a mixture of the Strelets Austrian and Bavarians so I could create some consistent charging and resting units for both nationalities.
Left flank - regiments Taffe (front) and Commercy (rear)
Right flank - regiments Jung Hesse Darmstadt (front) Zanthe (rear)

WSS British Dragoons
After what seems an age I have finished painting some units. These are the Strelets British Dragoons and I have painted the units from Ross's Dragoon Brigade plus one extra.
James Wynne's Regiment of Dragoons lated the Royal Irish Dragoons
John Hay's (Grey) Dragoons later the Scots Greys, some writers think they rode grey horses, but the Grey Dragoons title came from the coat colour immediately prior to the WSS and there is one picture that might show a couple of dragoons from the regiment on grey horses at Schellenburg.
The Erbprinz von Hessen-Kassel Dragoons made up the third regiment of the brigade
There were only two British dragoon regiments that served in Flanders through the WSS, so for a third I added Cunningham's/Killigrew's Dragoons that served in Spain

WSS yet more French Cavalry
I could easily have painted all the new Strelets Garde do Corps figures as that unit as it comprised eight strong companies, but instead I only painted one "company" from that unit and painted the rest as Gendarmerie de France.
For the Garde du Corps company I selected the 1st Scottish company, this will join the Grenadiers a Cheval and Gendarmes of the Guard in my Maison du Roi Brigade
The Gendarmerie also formed a strong Brigade and I selected the Reine, Dauphin and Bourguinon companies. I much prefer the paper flag I used for Bourguinon rather than my attempts at hand painting the moulded on Strelets flags.

French dragoons on foot for the WSS
My last French dragoons are now deployed on foot, they are the Strelets French dragoons skirmishing and to make up the required numbers I have added some Zvezda GNW Russian dragoon horse, which are a close fit. Again I have picked units to give a variety.
Bretagne
Rohan Chabot
Vasse
These are the last WSS figures in my stash and I'm now awaitng Strelets restarting production so I can acquire more of their promised sets.

More cavalry for the War of Spanish Succession
Time seems to fly by, I am way behind with my plan for the month. I had taken account of my weeks holiday, but on teturning all my painting efforts have been diverted to 1:1 scale redecorating the hall. Still I have managed six cavalry units, three each of British and French.
Magnac's brigade, made from the Strelets late war dragoons painted as horse as I have plenty of dragoons
Regiment de Fourquevaux
Regiment de Abusson
Regiment de Vivans
Wood's brigade, again Strelets figures, Brtish regiment of horse late war.
The Queens regiment of horse commanded by Lumley
Earl of Plymouth's regiment of horse commanded by Wood
Duke of Shrewsbury's regiment of horse commanded by Cadogan

WSS French Dragoons plus one Dutch
It's taken a while to get these done, they are, a combination of the Strelets Dragoons "in attack" and "on the march". Five were painted as French and one as Dutch. I went for a varied set of uniforms rather than matching an orbat.
Regiment Royal (just spotted I didn't finish the lace on the drummer
Regiment Asfeld/Hauefort/Saumery
Regiment Grammont/Beauffremont
Regiment Lesparre/Granville
Mestre-de-Camp General Regiment
Finally the Dutch Guard Dragoons also called Eppingers

WSS Artillery - British and French
Just scraped in before the end of the month, my artillery for the War of Spanish Succession, The figures are a mix of the new Strelets sets plus some Zvezda Great Northern War figures. The guns are the same, I didn't use the smaller gun included in the Strelets set. Limbers are Revell Thirty Years War
French British I did notice that I forgot to add the map to the top of the barrel on the command Vignette.

Yet more WSS Cavalry
Another batch of War of Spanish Succession Cavalry. All Strelets and there seems to be plenty more in the pipeline to keep me busy in 2022.
Wyndham's Horse will complete Palme's Brigade for Blenheim
French Grenadiers a Cheval, I didn't need them, but since Strelets produced them and they look unusual I had to get them.
French Gentlemens Regiments La Baume and Tarnau part of Broglie's Brigade at Blenheim. A painting conversion of the Strelets British Cavalry
Alongside the French cavalry are a couple of new French Commanders.

First War of Spanish Succession game
Thanks to Owain who took pictures at Beacon Gaming Club last Thursday
British infantry wasting time in a village (verty slow movement)
I was surprised by how much non-British cavalry I already had to assist my pair of British units
Stalwart British infantry
and again
Gendarmes of the Maison du Roi provided the only cavalry success for the French, backed up by Bavarian cuirassiers
British infantry ready to get into action
Bavarian cavalry formed up for action
Yours truely in action checking the rules!
Nice to get the figures on the table and to give the latest draft of the rules a play through
