A bit of a whim purchase, I thought they would expand my range of options for using Lion Rampant. They do, and I've now ordered more foot to make up a bigger force (for now). The figures are all HaT from their El Cid range. Unfortunately most of the figures are still of their old bendy soft plastic.
In the meantime I have been getting the 3D resin printer back in action.....

I have masses of these and found the soft plastic a boon. As I was going to replace the spears & lances anyway I found that there was sufficient "flex" in the plastic to cut off the lances, make a pin hole in the hands then push a pin or a length of still plastic rod through. I even did the same with the flags /pennons cast on the figures, adding them to the replacements. Cutting out the spears on the foot figures was much easier too.
Me too.
I have a few of these. All very nice. The El Cid range from HaT works well for all Iberian Peninsula armie, as well as Normans and Crusaders.
The bendy, rubbery plastic is kind of a pain, though. The idea Trebian wrote above is great! I think I will try it.

I have the latest batch of the El Cid Infantry in much firmer (normal) plastic and they will be fine. Sometime I may replace the lances as I acquired some used plastic rod to do the job recently.
