Just bought my first laser cut building. The Festes-Haus zu Ransbach. it's mainly laser cut/etched card and foam core with a few bit of balsa
It's very much an experiment to see how these buildings are constructed and also because the buildings footprint matches my standard basing
The biggest disappointment was that the timber framing was not separate as this makes painting a lot slower. I know that in reality the infill was at the same level, but for modelling it's a lot easier if they are separate. The windows are interesting, but I'm not sure how robust they will be for wargames use, I'll need to see how they turn out.
Probably get around to assembling it in a couple of months!

Nice kit. I look forward to seeing the completed, painted model.
As Steve said... interesting indeed!!

Now this looks interesting. Build it fast and write more articles :-)

How is it scale-wise? Someone said they were underscale, more like 1:87th scale.
Interesting - did I miss the memo on where that came from, as it definitely looks worth checking out?
I am also interested in the price and website of the houses!

Me too - I shall follow your progress with interest...must admit, I am drifting towards standard card buildings, due to cost/time/patience constraints for many of my buildings these days...
At the risk of sounding boring... this looks interesting! Is this for 1/72 scale?
